CONFUSION
At that time there were sounds of all types,
Those of songs and words, of disc jockey
And shouting sounds of preaching type,
I couldn't lay on my bed, I needed a key; a life key.
Are my dreams valid? Can't say for I know,
My dream is what keeps me awake when others sleep.
Now was awaken with wonders as my mind wandered
All over the continent, looking for answers to my endless
Questions of life and non-life situations,
To saints, God and his begotten son Christ.
In the middle of my left and right ear it passed instantly
Here on earth, not once but frequently.
Preaching it was, entertainment hour and crimes
Awaiting performance at hand.
Funny beats veers with the winds, result in beating
My ears. Hears the song of the darkness that sounds weird,
Some in the holy places others in worldly pleasure zone,
They were but sounds of drums beating from a distance.
A time of all activities, at my neighbors door, woman in labour
Cried for deliverance, next door a little child cried out
In great pain, suddenly a gunshot, I went down till it dawn.
Down here was a drummer, an ant asked, "where are stars?"
Truly the sky was clear, clean as a palace, place of a ruler
With only crescent, reflecting lit light from west.
The ants ate supper but I wondered in wondrous manner.
Why they were out this late, In there queue with their queen,
I didn't know. Preachers voice still preaches in distance.
Sounds of MC of internment intertwined with pleasure.
The gunshot met with a crime, in front of me it lays.
My anger kindled inside, they disturbed the ants.
But what the night had for my sight was still to appear,
Was frighten when the corpse came clear in sight
When light strikes it, raise me up in trembling fear,
As a dear I flea, someone was no more, others entertaining
Themselves, preacher stopped calling people to Christ.
Disc jockey continued with the MC. Drinks and drugs
Reduced in the clubs, labs filled with strangers,
Reining of the rains-maker was over, life to continue.
But the Neighbor's son saw the world, felt life unspoken.
Woman gives birth, a cry of a little one brings out joy,
It's a world that is confused, confusion till it dawn
I went back home, to my bed lay my weary body, was
Nothing but confusion, locked till I didn't knew.
